Proceeds from the single were given to the charity, and the special is estimated to have raised more than $100m for cancer research. The singer also  donated $100,000 to emergency  food bank operations that were established in the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.As well as assisting with such large-scale charitable initiatives, Rihanna is just as beloved by her fans for her attention to detail, and reaching out to and assisting  individuals coping with diseases and other debilitating cond itions.
