Athens 2004 - The Chief Happiness Officer Blog

Athens 2004 - The Chief Happiness Officer Blog Im once more from seven days in Athens, and what seven days. Patricia and I have been visiting my sister who heads the Art of Living in Greece, and between visiting the entirety of Athens and getting some olympic activities, its kinda ideal to be home once more, so we can unwind after our vacation :o) The individuals of Athens are unbelievably decent. We were met with grins wherever we went, at the olympic games, on the sea shores and in the roads. Theys all well disposed, kind an open. Theres bounty to involvement with Athens, and we took advantage of it. The acropolis is wonderful obviously, and inspires the idea of Greece as the origin of our way of life. The food is phenomenal. How a greek plate of mixed greens (tomatoes, cucumber, feta and olives with a basic dressing of olive oil and vinegar) can taste so great is past me. We went to an open air film, and saw a greek film (with english captions) under the brilliant sky, with the lights from the Acropolis simply off to one side. We went to two or three sea shores and swam in the aegean ocean. We additionally got incredible tans :o) We strolled the roads of Athens withut a very remarkable arrangement, taking a seat at a caf? for brew or espresso frapp?s at whatever point we got excessively hot. We generally pack books, so we can take an understanding break on the off chance that we need. We went to no less that six distinct games: Fencing, badminton, sea shore volley ball, sports and two womens handball match-ups. At one of the handball match-ups I had the joy of instructing two american folks the essentials of the game. They filled in as volunteers, got free tickets and had never observed a handball match-up. We even made another greek companion, Nick, who let us remain in his home for a couple of evenings. That is the cordiality of the greeks for ya. Its been an extraordinary week, that is given us an incredible vibe for what the olympic games accomplish for a city. My principle question currently is: How rapidly would we be able to get the games to Copenhagen? Much obliged for visiting my blog.
